Who would have thought that training for ministry would be useful??
Well so it turns out, all those afternoons spent in Penarth at the Methodist Care homes and nursing home (see care home placement) were worth while.
Morfa Newydd is a care home of the type I was visiting. They have a communion service once a month, today was my first time there (the Vicar is on holiday). It was great actually, they really enjoyed it, even the dodgy words to 'All things bright and beautiful', I kept thinking of the Monty Python words instead, but we got through it. Turns out one of the gentlemen there used to live in Llanrug, so I could practice my welsh and chat about the viliage!!
