It is becoming increasingly difficult to get about round here without a car. Now that isn’t because anything is that far away, but because of the hills and the pace of work. There is something to be said for getting about slowly though; I would not have met half the people I did this week if I had been driving the whole time. So… I’m planning to spend half a day finding easier ways to get up and down the hills here. I’m told that there is an old railway line that links Holywell to Greenfield… … that should be a good start, then I guess I will need stronger muscles and a wet-suit. Oh and probably panniers to put the reserve sacrament in – now, do I have to have a candle burning over the pannier while I’m cycling???
